Islandboy Spices has its roots in the warm, vibrant kitchen of my grandmother in St. Thomas. My early memories are filled with the sights and sounds of her cooking - the rustle of her long, flowy house dress, the meticulous chopping of fresh vegetables, and the rich, inviting scents of herbs and spices. Granny, a master of her craft, silently imparted her culinary wisdom to me, her young apprentice, perched on a chair just to catch a glimpse of her magic. Our home, though modest and lacking in material wealth, overflowed with an abundance of love. This love was not only felt in our family bonds but was also deeply infused in the food we prepared and shared. Granny's kitchen was a haven where authentic Caribbean cuisine came to life, nourishing not just our bodies but our souls.
Today, Islandboy Spices is a tribute to her legacy. Every bottle we prepare carries forward the tradition of love and authenticity she instilled in me.
