In February 2024, at a food
industry conference, our founder Ihsan Munir met
Karen Schulte, Category Manager for Spices at KeHE. Ihsan shared Islandboy Spices’ handcrafted blends, and Karen immediately saw potential. She requested samples, gave feedback on packaging, and encouraged us to prepare for bigger opportunities.
By July 2024, deeper talks at another industry event turned into strategy calls. Together, we identified the best blends for launch and prepared for onboarding. By early 2025, Islandboy Spices was officially part of KeHE’s system — with a national launch set for September 2025.
